Glenn Martin Obituary: In a solemn announcement, it is with deep regret that we share the passing of Glenn A. Martin, 63, the esteemed President of the Hampton Academy Board of Trustees. Glenn breathed his last on December 5, 2023, surrounded by loved ones while receiving hospice care at his North Hampton home. The cause of his demise was a brain tumor, diagnosed just a day before Thanksgiving. This news comes after Glenn’s remarkable recovery from a fall 2022 stroke.

 Life and Legacy of Glenn A. Martin

Glenn Martin, born on January 11, 1960, in Exeter, New Hampshire, was a North Hampton native. Raised by his late parents, Laurence A. Martin and Joanne Hobbs Martin, Glenn’s early years were shaped at North Hampton Elementary School, where his mother served as a gym teacher. His passion for sports, including soccer, basketball, and baseball, became evident during his high school years. Graduating as class president from Winnacunnet High School in 1978, he continued his academic journey at the University of New Hampshire, earning his degree in 1982 while being an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

A Realtor Extraordinaire and Devoted Community Leader

Glenn Martin’s professional journey led him to a successful career as a realtor along the New Hampshire seacoast. Notably associated with REmax, he garnered numerous awards for his outstanding sales and productivity. Beyond his professional achievements, Glenn was an avid golfer, bowler, and cribbage player. His love for sports extended to his daughter Kara, who excelled in soccer, mirroring Glenn’s passion.
